AH: “Tell me why you thought it was important to be here.”

Brit: “I think it’s just important for New Orleans because they’re such a soulful city, that for them to keep the traditions going as much as possible now, they need this — the spirit of it.”

AH: “New Orleans is kind of your home. What was it like seeing what was going on here?”

Brit: “Well, we didn’t really know the extent of it because they had a warning for like two days, and then all of a sudden, I didn’t hear from my mom for like a week.”

“All the phone services were down and you couldn’t get in touch with anybody and it was just kind of weird not being able to talk to your family.”
