Britney is really hoping this new home will be a family place.

They have been on rocky ground for some time now and while Kev was away recording his album she decided she had to do something to make their relationship work.

AH: “Tell me why you thought it was important to be here.”

Brit: “I think it’s just important for New Orleans because they’re such a soulful city, that for them to keep the traditions going as much as possible now, they need this — the spirit of it.”

AH: “New Orleans is kind of your home. What was it like seeing what was going on here?”

Brit: “Well, we didn’t really know the extent of it because they had a warning for like two days, and then all of a sudden, I didn’t hear from my mom for like a week.”

The latest from the wacky rumour mill is a report that Kevin has been coming on to Jessica Simpson who split up with Nick Lachey at the end of last year.

A source told Life & Style “She invited him to sit down. There was definitely some chemistry there.” Yep, there’s your conclusive evidence alright.

Kevin has been speaking to Newsweek, complaining about the critics putting him down and bragging that his first single, released via his website generated 2 million hits in 8 days.

“‘He hates his children, he treats his wife like dirt, he gets high all day,’ [say critics]. If I was that bad, you think anyone, let alone Britney, would put up with it?”

Talking about the songs Britney had worked on with him he said “I’m not going to put the songs on this album because it’s like, ‘Respect me first; then I’ll show you what I’ve done with my wife.’”

Britney has said she wants to get back to work and re-claim her pop queen crown because she is so tired of the current pop crap being produced.
